Adjacent to the old City Hotel in Castle Rock, CO is a proposition for a contemporary counterpart and expanded boutique hotel. The program includes 30 hotel suites, ground floor commercial space, a restuarant and cafe within the City Hotel building which expands into the courtyard of the new hotel, on-site parking, a rooftop bar and private rooftop terraces. Each of the rooftop spaces overlooks the prominent castle tower-shaped butte which the town is named after. The new hotel is designed to contrast the architectural style of the City Hotel offering a modern, clean form built in brick similar to the surrounding context.
