Working with a vacant site in Missoula, Montana the design task was to program a new piece of the city with institutional, commercial and residential spaces including a theater, market hall, hotel, retail, office and apartments. Sited along a main city intersection which is near the university, waterfront and access to the nearby mountains, it is a prime vacant location which can help activate the urban core of this growing city.
The representation task was to highlight the materiality and activation of the public space and display the human scale and experience of what a new piece of Missoula might feel like across various times of the day and year.
